General information about the project

The project is being implemented by The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority in consortium with the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection – Veterinary Directorate. The project is funded by the European Union with 2,000,000 Euro. The project duration is 30 months and it started on 1st February 2014.

The overall objective of this project is attainment of EU standards in food establishments (meat and milk), and in the ABP management system in the Republic of Serbia. The projects purpose is to improve capacity for upgrading milk and meat establishments, and ABP management system.

This project is implemented by The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority in consortium with the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia – Veterinary Directorate.

Component 2 – Upgrading of food production establishments

Component 3 – Implementing of animal by-product legislation

Component 4 – Awareness building
